Hi! It’s me, your loving friend with a simple summer reminder that what we spray / slather on our body (eg sunscreen, lotion, etc.) matters! ☀️ Did you know it’s illegal (or will be soon) in Hawaii to use toxic sunscreen? If it’s killing the coral reefs, what’s it doing to us… Sad!

What goes on our skin, goes IN our body. Within 24 hours sunscreen is in our bloodstream. And it does stuff in there we do not want it to do (skincare, makeup all matter too). So many use chemical filled toxic suncreen and then the sun rays and heat react to that, causing issues…The fact is, what we put on our body is like food. It’s going to be digested. Look at the ingredients of your sunscreen. If you don’t care about your health, do it for the ocean! 😆 jk. But this one is reef-safe.

According to the CDC, “97% of Americans are contaminated with a widely-used sunscreen ingredient called oxybenzone that has been linked to allergies, hormone disruption, and cell damage. Oxybenzone is also a penetration enhancer, a chemical that helps other chemicals penetrate the skin.” Over 600 sunscreens sold in the US contain Oxybenzone. Question your skincare. You are worth it.

Random tip: Replace any sunscreen from last year. They expire.

Reminder: The sun isn’t bad – it’s good! You want to absorb Vitamin D. Get a healthy dose of sun for a bit, then apply sunscreen if you’ll have extended exposure . Practicing *safe sun exposure* is what we want!

So many are already in the process of switching toxic stuff out for natural, safer options. It’s so worth it! Happy to help! The ingredients in this Mineral Sunscreen are good and clean. Nothing toxic or damaging! No nanoparticles, no cancer-causing or hormone-disrupting ingredients. And it’s water resistant, sweat resistant, and like I said coral reef safe (yayyyy!), and dermatologist approved…and it smells good!
