People don’t get enough magnesium. But too much can stop the heart! Just like Potassium. People really don’t get enough Trace Minerals either and all of those are necessary for heart regulation. I know many nurses and doctors and they would all agree with this.
People should be getting as much magnesium as they get calcium.
It is now been decided that 1:2 mag/calcium is not enough but that it should be 1:1. And the average person should be taking at least 1800 mg of each a day. Men, pregnant and lactating women should take more even up to 2400 mg a day of each.
Magnesium deficiency can be a problem with constipation, stress, muscle cramps, menstrual problems, nerves, etc etc.
