Yet another week has gone by in a blur, and it is time for my “Sunday Rambling” . . . The time in Singapore after APAC Convention was capped off by a full house at Young Living Singapore’s training room as we talked about the importance of personal growth – that an effective leader must first focus upon personal growth after which they can understand the importance of – and the way to support others in growing . . . to INSPIRE others to dream more, learn more, do more, and become more.
What inspires YOU?
As I look back over the past 15+ years that I have been in Asia, I am reminded that I could never have “planned” for what has actually transpired. There is no way that I could have envisioned the reality that is here even though I was an amazing “planner” for most of my life.
How limiting is it when we attempt to plan everything?
Do we really understand the big picture fully?
Are we willing to ALLOW things to unfold?
Now, don’t get me wrong. A general plan IS important. However, we must be willing to ALLOW the process rather than rigidly adhering to our “plans” no matter what. . . In other words, we must learn to be more FLEXIBLE. I have to laugh when I think about this because I have had bone and joint issues (such as frozen shoulders) that allowed extremely limited movement, so flexibility was not one of my strong talents. However, as I learned more and now look back in retrospect, I realize that those injuries taught me valuable lessons. I was forced to assess the situation and to attempt to do a little more each day . . . stretching . . . increasing strength . . . and I actually found that I could do more than I did BEFORE the injuries took place! I had truly expanded my vision!
So what did it require?
And a willingness to change the way that I approached things.
How often do we make up our mind about things and fail to allow for flexibility . . . and how often do we fail to ride the wave of momentum? (Yes, we must first take some action and then build upon it – while also being willing to make changes in our direction if necessary.)
As you think about the things you choose to have in your life and reassess them frequently (at least daily), use your oils to support you in growing.
Have a beautiful week of personal growth,
