From Joan Barice, MD, MPH

I’m really liking Palo Santo. I have a history of back pain due to severe arthritis with spinal stenosis in neck and low back. I  had back surgery to reverse sudden persistent weakness and numbness of my low back and legs, and loss of bladder control so I would not have to live in a wheelchair with a catheter. The surgery gave me back my function, but led to chronic pain.

I thank the Lord for YLEO. I’ve been doing much better since I discovered the oils – I can function and do a lot, but do have pain if I forget and overdo it.  Recently I did that, led to flare up of severe pain. I used Palo Santo with pretty good temporary results. In the past a flare up would last for at least 7-10+ days.

I continued to apply but added frankincense, and it was very helpful. I repeated this at least twice a day for a few days – pain was decreasing and by the end of the third day I felt great – no pain. I did not need balsam fir.

Twice now I have used neat for a headache – temples, brainstem, cervical spine and inhaled – the headaches went away very quickly – I would notice after a minute or so that it was gone, and did not come back. . Used on a couple facial blemishes neat – they went away overnight. Used on an actinic keratosis (grew up in Florida sun- sun damaged skin – precancerous lesions) – took a couple days and it went away. Tried another and it did the same. Maybe that’s the antiviral activity. I think it’s wonderful. It’s mild, smells great but is powerful. I just ordered a couple more bottles. I do not want to run out of this precious oil.

Now I’m having Raindrop, so we’ll need to add Palo Santo.

Sincerely,

Many thanks to Deborah Lynne Carlton for providing the following information from her notes at various tainings:

PALO SANTO (Essential Oil)
Gary Young has brought Palo Santo essential oil back from Ecuador.  Palo Santo is considered a holy anointing oil.  Its properties include anti-viral, anti-tumoral and it may be helpful for acne. Palo Santo has been shown to help with depression and in stopping cancer growth. Palo Santo has high levels of limonene – 62 – 68% (Limonene have been extensively studied for its ability to combat tumor growth in over 50 clinical studies.) and also contains alpha-pinene properties. Gary Young found Palo Santo growing in Southern Ecuador; a different tree variety from the Northern Palo Santo, which was similar to Frankincense resin. A study from Tokyo indicates Palo Santo has 70% success in reducing cancer.

Combine Frankincense with Palo Santo for pain relief, emotional release, spinal stenosis. Using a combination of Palo Santo & Frankincense for pain & for bone rejuvenation (including Idaho Balsam Fir) will shorten recuperation time.
ACTUAL EXPERIENCES

Depression
Gary put 1 Drop of Palo Santo on a person, which cured his depression.

Raindrop with Palo Santo
Testimonial from Nathan Peachy: He brought Palo Santo back from his trip to Ecuador with Gary and worked on a man who had been in a wheelchair for a year or two. He did a Raindrop with Palo Santo, and the man got out of his wheelchair – on the spot!

Kicked in Face by Horse
Emily Wright, from YL Corporate, has a son who was kicked in the face by a horse, and had severe damage to his face and jaws. Had to have his jaws wired together, told her at least 12 weeks before wire would come out. Gary got them Palo Santo within a day or so to mix with Frankincense, apply at least 6 times a day – pain stopped almost immediately. Within a few weeks the wires came out, then the plates. Doctors were stunned, couldn’t believe it. Then docs thought he had an infection under the plate, but insisted on going home. When he went back to hospital, infection was gone; doctors shocked again, back to normal almost a month before scheduled.

Acne
Someone who had serious acne and had used Melrose, Frankincense, and Lavender to no avail, used Palo Santo and it cleared! Gary is looking at a new combo: Palo Santo with Frankincense and Idaho Balsam Fir!!! What a powerhouse that will be!
