Impaired memory can be due to a number of reasons, and the cause may be an important clue in determining which essential could be most beneficial.

ALL THERAPEUTIC-GRADE ESSENTIAL OILS HAVE THE ABILITY TO OXYGENATE THE CELLS OF THE BODY. Therefore, ALL could effect a positive change. However, those which are high in sesquiterpines have the ability to cross the “blood-brain barrier” and to oxygenate the cells of the brain directly as well as through the circulatory system.

Essential oils which have high levels of sesquiterpenes include CEDARWOOD, FRANKINCENSE, and SANDALWOOD. According to the Essential Oils Desk Reference, 4th Edition, “ . . . the fragrance of many essential oils exerts a powerful stimulus on the limbic system . . . these glands and brain components combined are the seat of memory, emotions, and sexual arousal, They also govern aggressive behavior.” Page 357

Impaired memory has also been associated with deficiency of essential fatty acids, particularly the Omega-3’s. Omega-3 can be found in flax seed oil and fish oils. OMEGA BLUE is a supplement that contains fish oil of sardine, anchovy, and mackerel enhanced with therapeutic-grade essential oils of LEMONGRASS, MYRRH, CLOVE BUD, and GERMAN CHAMOMILE. Gary Young has stated that he has had amazing results using ocotea with patients who have any kind of blood sugar imbalance, including diabetes type 1 and type 2. There were a number of people who were insulin dependent and who now are completely off insulin.

OCOTEA can be used as a dietary supplement. It can be added to NINGXIA RED – the “shots” of NINGXIA RED + OCOTEA + PEPPERMINT Gary and the other executives mixed up for us at Convention were delicious!!!
OCOTEA can also be dropped under the tongue and allowed to absorb for a minute before swallowing. It has a cinnamon-like taste which is delicious. 2-4 drops 3-4 times each day is the amount that Gary Young mentioned.
